The CBPS AGM 2018 will be on Saturday 10 November 2018, at Knuston Hall, Northamptonshire.
The AGM is for CBPS members only. (Members may bring an individual guest to the afternoon talk, by prior arrangement). This is a great chance to meet CBP friends, have lunch, and do a little shopping.
Louisa Yuen of Oriental Arts will be there, so you can browse her books, brushes and interesting papers from 10 to 11 am, and after midday. There will also be second-hand books for sale, and a raffle.
The afternoon speaker will be Anne Haworth on the Phoenix at the fall of the Empire: Three Empresses of China. Symbolised by the Phoenix, a bird of myth and legend, this talk focuses on the three Empresses who lived in the Forbidden City from the 18th century to the end of the Empire in 1911.
The October Newsletter gives details of timings for the day, and include the form for booking lunch and guests. Note that the deadline for booking lunch is 2nd November. After that, you are welcome to attend the AGM, but Knuston cannot provide lunch. the AGM meeting starts at 11am.
There is also a set of 3 workshops on Friday & Sunday.
NOTE There is no longer any Bridge Closure near Knuston Hall, so there should be no local route restrictions.
